Default Actinovate?

Last year my tomato plants died early. The bottom branches turned yellow and it spread up the entire plant by mid August. My nursery man advised me to soak new plants in Activate before planting and then use it as a foliar spray throughout the season. Any comments?

It is a tool in the arsenal, but by no means a magic bullet cure all. What you describe could be early blight and Actinovate is one a few things that can be used that will help. If it is EB, other helpful things are Daconil, Excel G, Bacilus Subtilis and several other things. Good luck.

Elliot, what type of disease preventive measures did you do last year? Ami
