Ernesto is a late bloomer
Planted Ernesto about May 14, first blossom open July 12!
Rinaldo is a GREAT BIG PLANT set out the same time, and has set fruit already. GTG |

Interesting...
I have 2 plants of Ernesto, both set out at the end of May. One has a huge (green) fruit on it, and no new blossoms, but lots of flower buds, the other one just started blooming... I guess you can never conclude anything from growing just 2 plants, but the other tomato plants around these 2 have been blooming and setting since early June... Just an observation

Hmmm...The Ernesto in my community garden (only a few miles from you GTG, as you know) was planted at the end of April and has one good sized fruit, a few smaller fruit, and quite a few flowers.

Bully,
Tell Francesca that Ernesto has decided to be a good boy(?) and has already (as of today) set a few small green fruit. ;-) GTG |
