I cant believe it the waiter brought me a big glass of sangria without me even asking.
The place is better than I remembered.
Upon much deliberation I decided on one of the house specialties.
Baked cheese and beef Chile Relleno with house made Mexican rice and house made refried beans.
All With chipotle sauce.
I may have to ask for a doggie bag.

I need some of that jam in my life, that combination looks like it would be awesome warmed up on top of french vanilla ice cream sitting on a piece of spongecake.

Worth, I need to put that on the menu, it's been a while.

I finished cooking the tamales last night and it took longer than the first time. I learned that you get more meat from a 6 LB roast than 6lbs of ground meat. I made about 3 dozen and have 2 packs in the freezer. I used all 4 peppers this time for the sauce/mole, pasilla, Puya, Guajillo & Ancho.

Today I cooked a gumbo that hit the spot with this cold rainy weather, I's so good I'll have a bowl for breakfast!!!

Don't forget to tip the waiter for the service and reading your mind about the Sangria.

I was thinking of ice cream that night, LOL, and yes, it would be good on that or as a shortcake with ice cream.

I forgot to answer your question. I AM a survivalist, I guess; I'm still alive at this point so I suppose that makes it so.

A bit of a cheeky question from some one with a bill and flat feet!

I have a recipe for roasted duck....

Fried chicken for lunch and dinner today, and some red beans and rice to go with it. I didn't cook, it was Popeye's, LOL, since I don't mind frying pan fried chicken, but hate to get all the grease all over with deep frying battered stuff. It was good, too.
