Default How's everybody in Texas

I woke up to the news of tornadoes in San Antonio. It seems like it's always at night when this happens and most people don't have a warning.

I hope everyone made it through without major damages.

I think there was plenty of warning unless you are a very heavy sleeper. If the series of alerts coming over every device in the house didn't wake you up, the bright flashes of lightening and booming thunder woke you.
We had 70 mph wind *without* a tornado, but no damage that I'm aware of.

Big time wind. I was a little worried about my Cleveland pair tree.

Two of my three tomatillo plants suffered broken limbs.

I woke up to a 155 MM Howitzer going off in my back yard, I never wake up to storms.

It drizzled a few times today but the bad stuff started about 15 minutes ago and it's moving so fast it should be past me in another 15 minutes. Check the radar, it's cruising

I know one thing the sun cant go down fast enough.
I was messing with the lathe last night and lost track of time.
The next thing I know it is 3 hours past my bed time.
Then the storm woke me up and I felt like a dead dog this morning because the alarm woke me up.
The alarm NEVER wakes me up.

Glad it seems our TX Tv folks are ok. Seen about the tornadoes on the news too and wondered about folks here.

Rajun... Seems like every time you turn around you guys getting lots and lots of rain. Stay safe. Coming this way later in the week.

It might be there in the morning if it keeps moving East this fast, the hard stuff is past me now but it did drop enough rain to make the yard hold water and we still have a light drizzle.

Weather Underground is confusing. One box says no precip "yesterday", another shows 0.91". Lots of Sturm and Drang around 2pm.

That weatherforyou.com site is pretty decent. A lot more straightforward than wunderground.

We have a Code Red program that texts and calls your phone with a weather warning. We get about a 15 minute warning most of the time.

Do people still have basements in the newer places or have they gotten away from that?
