The sky has been like pea soup with little sun this past winter and early spring. Too much rain also. Supposed to be because of El Nino. My plants need sun!

Aloha to all,
Each day I check to see how close I am to tasting a real tomato from my garden. Each day is a inch closer to my goal. My wife asked me if I was ok . I could only reply with a nod. It's truely definite !!!
I have an addiction to growing tomatoes, yes it's true. As with any addiction , we need help. Thanks to friends here on this website. I get my daily needs met. Oh ,what can one human do ? Grow more. So, today I planted some Big Cheef. That'll do for now. The Mat Su will be saved for clean coir and a clean container. I don't dare waste that one!!!

First flower of the 2019 season for my tomato plants goes to Paul Robeson. Plants have been in the ground a couple of weeks. The Live Oaks are still relentlessly dropping their leaves.

I looked up the Odoriko variety at the Kitazawa Seed Co., and it shows nematode resistance. Have you grown it successfully before at your FL location? Never heard of the variety or Kitazawa before. Interesting.

It's a pretty shape and has lots of disease tolerance; you must like the flavor too, since that's all you planted. I just told hubby you'd been picking ripe tomatoes for a week and he said, "That's why we need to move to Florida!" Lol

I've been growing Odoriko's for 20+ years. It's the best tasting, most productive, that I have tried, out of 150+
varieties in my garden. This year I decided to just focus on what I knew would give me the most, for the time invested.
