Default Bird pepper question

Had a volunteer last year that did well producing lots of little peppers. It looks to be going dormant now with leaves yellowing and such. Will this one produce again this year and is there anything I should do to help it along?

Yes, the wild Texas Bird Peppers will grow for years. I had one finally die last year that I planted in 2000. I usually get about three to five years out of them. They are late to start growing again in the spring. When you notice new growth prune it back about 10% if you need to control its size. Also trim off any limbs that are brittle.
