New Girl or Valley Girl tomatoes, anyone grown these?

Ordered some New Girl and some Valley Girl tomato seeds to try out next year. Has anyone gron thee varieties yet, and if so, how did they do for you?

I grew New Girl several years ago. In my location, I saw no differences between it and Early Girl. It was a good tomato, as is EG. I'm going to try Burpee's Summer Girl next season (or that's my plan as of today!) But I do already have the seeds, and I've had very good luck through the years with their tomato varieties.

I have grown New Girl F1 twice. It is ok, and the plants/fruit look very similar to Moreton, Early Girl, Burpee's Burger, Ultimate Opener. Taste is the about same. For me 3 days to germinate, and about 75 DTM.

I have some Early Girl seed as well for the other two mentioned, but could not find seed for Dirty Girl anywhere. Wanted to try the 4 to see if there was any or much differences.

Thank you for the lead but oh my! what a price!!!! 15 seeds for $10.00 is a lot to me. I'll have to pass on that for now, LOL, just not in my budget.

I'm growing Valley Girl F1, which is doing great. A decent amount of good-sized fruit. Taste is interesting, but mildish. It had lots of BER for a good while earlier in the season, but that eventually went away. I didn't give it any nutrients, this year.

I grew New Girl this year. We haven't eaten them. Not much better than a store-bought tomato, and harder.

From everything I remember reading, a Dirty Girl is just an Early Girl that is dry farmed. To be successful in dry farming it helps to have the right climate and perfect soil like California does. I think it was a wise move passing on the Dirty Girl seeds.

This is incorrect.

Dirty Girl is an OP variety that was created by dehybridizing Early Girl. It was done by Dirty Girl Farm in Watsonville, California.

They dry farm both Early Girl and Dirty Girl. Dirty Girl tomato is a potato-leaf that produces larger plants that ripen fruit later. The fruits are similar, but not identical.

I stand corrected. I did read it but it was probably in a garden forum somewhere along the line so not entirely accurate. There was no description so I had nothing else to go on. I was wondering if they may have been open pollinated or de-hybridized. Still think the seeds are overpriced

They were dehybridized from Early Girl. It is now a true-breeding variety.

And you are right. The seeds are not cheap. But, since it is OP. They need only be purchased once.
