Default Ernesto & Rinaldo

Thanks to Bully these two interesting varieties have been circulated far and wide. I've been admiring the big, almost 1lb Rinaldos, which have a touch of uneven ripening, and the nice paste-type Ernesto. Think I'll tuck into a Rinaldo this afternoon and save a few seeds while I'm at it.

A bit grey in Sydney today but in the distance is the ferry coming to collect my partner and take her off to work in the big smoke.

Cheers, Grub

And the ferry arrived so I rounded up my three new maters and snapped a pic before heading back home to work for the day. Better get back into it.

Default No Pics

How annoying. I can see them. Maybe it's some computer thing. Anyone else unable to see them?

Meantime, try these URLs. Fingers crossed

I am at work and now see them fine. Very pretty. Guess it is some block on my computer.

Reminds me of those Travelocity (?) ads of the little garden gnome being taken around the world on trips.

Hope the toms enjoyed the outing!

The pics are fine but my labeling may have been off.

Ernesto is the one plus pounder

Rinaldo is a fat bomb shape

It's not my fault!!..Honest..I understand about every other word the woman says..ask Duane, he'll tell ya..and just last year she said that Ernesto can sometimes throw a tomato called "the Ugly one" and this is a different tomato than the other two..LOL

Awesome pics though Grub!!
I have a strong feeling that you were wearing a blue stripped short sleeve shirt when you toke those pictures.

Default Stand Corrected

Hi Bully,
I just checked the stakes and stand corrected. Your labelling is spot-on. I went to another thread to check references made there and assumed they were right. They are not.

So I really need to lock this into my gray matter. Ernesto is the big one and Rinaldo is the smaller one.
Capital E for enormouos. That will work.

Rinaldo has since ranged up and into a pine tree and little baby bombs are dancing around in the air.

The pics are okay. The path and foreshore you see in the background is where I walk to work each day. About half an hour from my home to the office, via the ferry wharf where partner rides to the city and I buy a coffee and waffle once she's boarded.

I really wanted to get a pic of them on the top of a wharf pylon with the ferry in the background, but I checked and the pylons aren't as easy as I thought to work with.

If someone asks me what I'm doing I'm saying it's a project for a photographic school titled: The Incongruous Tomato.

Default Blue Shirt

And spot-on about the blue shirt. I'm still inside it. Your powers of perception are freaky good. The Medium?
