Scored some good size containers the landscaper is giving me that trees came in.
He is keeping them on the jobsite until next week when I am back on that job.

I scored containers earlier this year too and next year I'm going all containers. We get too much rain and it's so easy to harvest from a container.

I found a farmer that had 25 for $2 each of the cattle protein buckets. This pic is from my sweet potato thread and those are Ghost peppers in the back.

I have one curing right now but the vines look so good and healthy I'm not going to mess with them until they dont.
I figure the longer they stay in the ground with growing vines the bigger they will get.

I want to paint these black tubs terracotta but dont want to use expensive canned spray paint.
Does anyone have a suggestion on the primer?
I have read Kills is a good one for it but haven't used it.

I know that Kilz worked well for painting inside our house earlier this year. I haven't tried it on anything other than wood and sheetrock though.

I would just find a color close rnough to terracotta from Krylon Fusion paint. No prep and bonds to plastic.

There are cheaper spray paints unde 2 buck. Never pay $6 for brand names , like Rustoleum. Other option is just get some i,expensive paint and brush it on.

When I want cheap paint for a project like this, I usually hit up the local Lowes or Home Depot, and check their paint section for the "mistakes" - The cans of paint where the color was mixed wrong, or they used the wrong finish, etc.. I can usually find one or two cans in a color that I don't mind using for about 4 or 5 dollars.

Sweet potatoes have started blooming again.
The wont bloom on long daylight hours.
The hours are back down now so they started blooming.

not sure what that means or the significance? being from the north my potatoes die off in the fall and thats the end of it.
