Default De-Leafing when Planting?

Do you remove all leaves and stems that would be under the level of the soil when you are planting tomatoes?

Yes I do. Don't get too carried away as the plant still needs leaves to grow.

I've done it both ways. The only draw back to leaving the leaves on below the soil line, is sometimes they push back up and are full of soil, yellow, and nasty and I just break them off. Never had any trouble just breaking off what is to be buried. That is what I do now days.
