Default Sunshine 4 Soil

Hi guys,

New to the forums and extremely new to gardening. Planting in big 7.5 pots this year and wondered if anyone had tried Sunshine 4 soil?

Welcome to Tomatoville. Make sure you check out the container section. I'm sorry, but I can help you with the Sunshine for soil.

I had great results with Growers Gold last year, which seems to be made by the same people, its just tough to buy a lot at 9 dollars a bag.

my sunshine 4 cost $14.95 a bag and I had to buy 4 bags of 107L each I think. But so far, I really like it

I have used Sunshine mix, but where I live now I can't find it- I use ProMix from Lowe's- it comes in a 2.2cu.ft. bale for about $22- it is great for starting seeds and potting up.

Su....as posted on this site many times: drainability (porous) is the single most important feature of a container mix. Heavy-laden soils are not good in containers. Also, depending on the kind of maters you grow...bigger containers are always better (especially indeterminates). gl
