In your opinion what is a real (Real Italian/Sicilian Meat Ball) or is there such a thing?

Well I'm Italian, mother from Bari and father's parents from Sicily.I had that for Christmas dinner.I used 80/20 ground beef, very good cheese, parsley, breadcrumbs from stale Italian bread, onion(fresh).Might be a few other things. My wife mixed it all up this last few times we made it.It's my mom's recipe.
