I'm trying two varieties , Zuni and Mexicali for the first time this year - will most likely use them to make salsa....

totally love these things. got some Cape Gooseberry (not sure if there was a variety, finished the seed pack and stupidly threw it away) and they survived the drought in Tennessee last year. the ones that ripened were tasty pineapply.

i got Giant Ground Cherry from SSE this year, and hope i like the taste of them too.

I like prepared tomatillos but havent ever cooked them to my own satisfaction myself. I only started liking raw tomatoes in my mid 20s.

I started some ground cherries this very morning. The seed is from Baker Creek and is "Strawberry Husk Tomato." I've had the seed for a couple of years and ran across it in my seed stash this morning. We shall see how they taste.....

ok, I see this thread is a year old. Can anyone come back and say how they liked it? Gonna grow it again this year?
