Default Little Birdy Series Rosy Finch Tomato Little Birdy Series Rosy Fi

55 day
Delicious and attractive. Brightly colored, deep rose pink, 1" round, excellent tasting cherries are nicely displayed against deep green foliage that provides great protection against sunscald. Plants are perfect for hanging baskets and mixed patio containers. Dwarf plants are compact, well-branched and have exceptionally high yields.
Determinate

Anyone familiar with these?

OP or f1 ?

It's one of the Little Birdy series which includes Red Robin and Yellow Canary. Sakata says they're all OP.

I wanted to grow it this year, but I already have more varieties and plants than I will have room for, so it will be for next year. Let us know what you think of it if you do grow it!

Did anyone end up growing Rosy Finch last year? I've got a spot tentatively earmarked for it this spring. Both Totally Tomatoes and Park carries it, IIRC.

I grew all 3 this year. Nice little plants, covered with fruit & easy to grow.

Would be perfect for market growers. 6 inch or half-gallon pots are big enough if you feed them regularly.

IMO, Yellow Canary is the best-tasting of the trio, followed by Red Robin, then Rosy Finch.

I've grown Red Robin for many years (though not for a couple of years), but just this past week ordered seeds for the other ones in the series - Yellow Canary and Rosy Finch. I'll be growing them all this year to compare yield, size, and taste.

FYI - Red Robin is OP and I assume that the other two are as well.

Thanks for the feedback! I was hoping since it is a more recent release that it might be better than RR. Maybe I'll try Yellow Canary instead.
