I've done something stupid again.

Well I've done it again. After several years of waiting patiently for my Tulip Poplar to open and let me know it is okay to start planting, I jumped the gun and planted my beans yesterday. It has been near 80 for over a week and I went crazy I guess. Oh well I do have some seed left just in case.

Given the warm state of things these past few weeks, we may say it was an inspired move, in hindsight. Here's hoping you don't have to replant these but get to plant even more varieties you like.

Well, that's what my Wife tells me but oh well, it keeps me from going insane.

b54red, perhaps this isn't so stupid. I have an old gardening book that says to sow some beans one month before the last possible frost and in case of no frost the risk will pay off.

Farmers Almanac is the same way it gives the plant out days with 50% odds. Sometimes the gamble pays off and sometimes not. Just part of gardening.

I am sure most of us have done it at least once. If killing plants was a crime I would be serving several life sentences by now LOL.

With gardening toss the dice and see what happens and save extra seeds as a back up plan. I remember one year I planted early, we got no late frost but it did rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
