The Best Grape or Plum Tomato ??
I was just wanting to know which ones you prefer ? My wife would like to carry some to work to snack on we dont care if its a hybrid or heirloom just one or two that has a high production and a good to real good taste. We tried the cherry this year but she had to carry so many she did'nt have room in her lunch box we just want to try one thats a little larger than a cherry!

A new to variety this year has worked well for what you describe...Gail's Sweet Plum. The seed is sold by Sand Hill Preservation Center.
The plant is early, prolific, and about 2-3 times the size of a cherry. I am growining it in a container and it has had no problems with splitting or disease. The shape is similar to a miniature paste only smaller. These are not real juicy and pretty sweet. I think they should pack well. Jeanne |
