bcday, mate no white sapwhen removingleaves forcooking but will snap off a plant halfeway down and see what transpires??..
Raymondo, mate checked out so many chicory varieties that i dont think it is chicory...
Larry i thought we may have struck gold there for a wee while , but after close sussing i think the closoest match was the wild aguru which i think is more a rocket plant variety than the one in my photos..
even did a google search but no luck and am more persistant in my search now!!..
Thanks gang and appreciate all the help ...

PS will take a closeup of the leaves and ulpoad see if it makes a differernce..
