Peppers suffering cold nights

I have plants of the nice peppers from Marko elelphant ears, and many peppadew plants which are not the like color, The fruits look black both are to do red fruits. Is this the cold night 50 and days only 65?

They'll get their color when ripe, but the cooler weather may be delaying that process. As long as you don't have frost in the forecast you should be ok, but you may have to be patient. If you have a frost coming, you can put sheets or something over your plants at night and remove them during the day. I just recently pulled my 5 elephant ear plants. There were only a couple small green pods left on each plant, but I got plenty of ripe ones earlier in the season. I've never grown peppadews so can't comment there.

we had a couple of nights in the 40s and some in the 50s and now they are in the the 60s. my datils, habaneros, jalapenos and trinidad scorpions are putting them out. the tobasco in loading up again but, sweet peppers are so so. tomatoes are setting fruit and i should get a crop way before the killer strikes. jon
