Default Favorite herb seed vendors

Just curious...for those of you who also grow herbs; which is your favorite vendor for seeds; quality, quantity, and customer service? I'm from all the choices, and just wanted to see what you folks think.

http://www.cooksgarden.com/
Cook's Garden has a nice selection of plants available, but I order seeds from anybody that has something I need or don't currently have. Johnny's Selected Seeds has a good selection, as does Fedco.

I'd go first to http://www.sampleseeds.com/
http://www.doublehelixfarms.com/catalog/28

I've had good service form Fedco http://fedcoseeds.com/ If you want to mail order seeds you have until March 21 otherwise it is we only.

Here are a couple of off-the-cuff suggestions. Richters Herbs (http://www.richters.com/) is very good though expensive. The company is located near Toronto but has no problem shipping to the USA.

In the past I have bought from Le Jardin du Gourmet, who was famous for "sample size" packets, currently at 40 cents each. This approach lets a gardener try a lot of different herb varieties without busting the budget. Don't know if they still have a printed catalog. (http://www.artisticgardens.com/)

That's embarrassing...I've ordered 'mater seeds from Remy, but completely overlooked her wonderful selection of herbs. My bad.

If you want organic seeds, Heirloom Seeds: Sustainably Grown, Organic, Untreated and Open-Pollinated Herb Seed has a good selection. They have mostly culinary varieties, rather than the medicinal varieties.

Sample seeds first. Another very good site: www.botanicalinterests.com/ We have had nothing but excellent service and seeds from them.
