Default Hardening Off Target Date

What's the general consensus on the best time to start hardening off maters around Central Ohio? I don't want to rush the dear, wee things, but I'd sure like to get them some real sun light.

Default harding off

Hello I have been having mine out everyday for the last week. Bring them back in the house after 5pm. First day got a few wind burn leaves. But all doing nicly now.I still have a barrier of bags of compost to break the wind.
Iam notgoingtoplant out till after the Choptag. I really hope that I will get there.Ihave lost of extra plants. And want to try different ones. Hope this is helpful. Susan

Thanks for the reply! Can't wait to meet you at the Plant Swap!

I guess the little boogers will get their first taste of "the wild" tomorrow. I have a nice shady spot staked out for them.
