Grew them last year.. rather sweet, not as sweet as sungold.. So many little ones, I got tired of picking them LOL

great picture Rena - the Blondkopfchen looks like Ildy tomato I grew a couple of years back. I didn't like the taste of Ildy, it was rather average and reminded me of the generic Yellow Pears... I also grew another similar multiflora yellow tomato - called 'Miurabell Multiflora' (not a true Mirabell), and the taste was better than Ildy...

I've been wondering if these yellow multiflora types are somehow related? I guess it would be close to impossible to conclude one way of the other... Anyway.

How does Blondkopfchen taste in your opinion?

When you let it ripen to a golden yellow, it is very sweet. It will be coming back next year! Out of about 40 cherries it is on the keeper list. One reason it is taking the heat really well and is very prolific. Sungold is not taking the heat well neither is black Cherry but I will grow the Black Cherry again. One I do not think is coming back I sampled today and that was Brandywine Cherry (looks like little Brandywines) It was pretty tastless. Ilidi has never made it to fruit so it is not returning. I have a hybrid from Thompson Morgan that is very tasty called Loveheart cutie. Thompson Morgans seed are 50% off (per their email I recieved today). Your seeds are in the mail!-Rena

They're teeny-tiny, but if you want a very small cherry tomato that keeps goin in the heat, Matt's Wild Cherry.

Been there -Blonkopchen is not that small... Matts cracked toooo much but alas I did give everyone in the 100 mile radius volunteer plants :wink: Those things are like Kudzu!
