Got some northeaster beans doing this.
I think they got very dry as these developed. Could that be the cause? Something else? Thanks |

Looks like alligator beans.
![]() Maybe thrips or poor pollination? The bean pod looks healthy and green. |

My pole bean plants usually number in the hundreds each year. Since only a tiny amount of pods will look like that, I don't worry about what causes it.
