Default My first harvest for 2015,San Marzano+

So here it is ...June 2nd 2015. my first haul from my 1250 Sq ft garden.
In addition to my Black cherokee and Black krim, my San Marzanos just ripened. My first pound and a half! Many more green on the vine.
enjoy the photos....ALL organic - NO fertilizer just composted cow manure at planting.

First photo, cherokee black,cut yesterday.

Second photo, garden haul including San Marzano Plum tomatoes!.

Also in photo 2, Eggplants, "marketmore 76" cucumbers, "Nelson" carrots, "Supermarconi" italian heirloom flat beans (vine), "Roma" Basil, "Globe" radishes, "Hole mole" Peppers and some kind of long (11 inch) Round purple spotted beans which i uploaded for ID but had no takers.

Garden381, I am growing the Super Marconi green beans this year and they are very productive. I canned 16 pints two weeks ago and should be able to can that many more Saturday. I hope you like the taste as well as I do.

I LOVE these beans. They are much meatier than the ROMA varietypole beans . They are also High climbers so i made this trellis which is 10 feet tall

Happy picking! and by the way, they are GREAT when prepared with browned garlic and tomato and mixed together.
