I have 3 KARMA Pink plants. Two are growing in my tunnel and one in the container. They were transplanted to the ground almost three weeks ago. We had very cold nights at the beginning of May, so I waited until the middle of the month.
In the tunnel they grow 2/1 - two plants, one stem each, and one stake. (My friends from gardening forum grow their tomatoes this way, so I try this year. ) KP in the tunnel opened first flowers this week. KP in the container was potted three weeks ago. We had an unexpected very cold night and it was one of the few plants without purple colour on stem or on leaves. It needs bigger pot, I change it next week. It is such a pleasure to grow them. They are so beautiful. Karen and Marsha thank you very much. |

Here is my KARMA Pink plant one day before it turns 11 weeks old. It's a little less bushy than it was as I trimmed four of the lowest branches because it was getting a bit too dense.

Okay ladies, I was going to wait until I had a ripe fruit to post a pic, but since you're my tomato friends I posted you an update as you wished. I have 4 main branches clipped up, and the string that dangles from the bottom of the clips hold up more branches.
For me it grows much like a salladette tomato variety rather than a cherry, I think pruning off some of the small inner branches may really set it on fire for fruit production. The foliage is very smooth, but not tinder, it seems healthy. I will report more when we get there. Sorry for teasing you concerning the pics, it is my nature. All in good fun. |

These have basically uniform ripening, and if not cracked, very hoogood shelf life, so wait until solid pink for best taste, but I am still advising to pick at blush, they liked to crack in my dewey am conditions this past season.

Jm- that is a beautiful plant.
Doug I think 2 more weeks, or less. A lady on facebook loved them so much that she said they will always be in her garden. Me too! |

I have one split Karma Pink on the vine with the rest of its truss which have some hail damage, but otherwise very good looking. I'll snag a pic in the next day or so.

I have pea sized KARMA Pink fruit! The sun finally shone today for some "normal" temperatures, and when I got home this evening KP had grown that first fruit to the size of a pea, and there's a second one also coming on in the third cluster, and a smaller one down in the first. The conditions have been so severe, KarenO I will be posting an update of the temperature graph in my other thread and you'll see just how much these plants have endured. I noticed btw a tiny bit of fruit growth on the first day that we got up to 60 F - late in the day and just for an hour or two. So the desire to make me some fruit already is there!!!! Given 60 F, she'll bring em on. And for sure we should be getting better weather coming up but I don't want to jinx it by saying so No sign of any dropped flowers, they all look to be setting at this point.

Wonderful photos Bower. Such detail.
I gave found thst all blossoms set fruit, I don't think I have seen a dropped blossom. A good trait to have, for sure. The KARMA Purple Multiflora may be different. |
