Default Amakko F1 cherry pic

This is a group of from 20-30 growing toward the bottom of the plant. With this and the Casino Chips growing next to, I should be well supplied with red cherry tomatoes.

Where did you get your seeds for this variety? Japan?

Jeff,

Yes I got them from Japan; I emailed an SSE member from Japan asking for information on Amakko and Sekai Ichi. I did not get a reply, but a couple of weeks later got an envelope in the mail with seeds of both varieties. The Amakko seeds were labeled Amakko F1 and had a green coating on them. I will be saving seeds and growing them next year. If you are interested in seeds let me know.

kygreg.....any chance you (or any reader) can give me a definition/explanation of
"f-1". I am growing Sungold f1 but don't know the meaning. Maybe direct me to a post
that explains?

I hope you will give the board a taste report on those cherries when you get a few
digested.

Hi......

You can see the description here http://www.tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=17088.

F1 usually mean Hybrid. Its first generation of certain cross tomato. Its like cross two or more tomato to create Sungold F1 and its not stable, so if you wanna plant it again you had to keep buying seed.
