Honeydrop and Honey Drop

Medovaya Kaplya is Russian translated as Honey Drop and looks like a Yellow Pear with a very good taste. http://jandlgardens.com/catalog/inde...roducts_id=353

Honeydrop is a selection from Hybrid Sunsugar and doesn't look like a Yellow Pear at all. http://www.fedcoseeds.com/seeds/search?item=4106

I almost put the Fedco Honeydrop seed pack that I got in the MMMM swap with the Medovaya Kaplya seed pack I saved in 2015. Glad I didn't because they are two different animals.

And Medovaya Kaplya from Tania's page with more background and noting who from originally and when, and yes, I was the first to SSE list it and I think if you look at the seed sources I was the one who sent the seeds to Jeff casey, that is I think I was.

I absolutely love this variety, the fruits look like they were tied at the top like a handbag maybe, but no way should it be compared to Yellow Pear IMO, based on taste and fruit form.

Medovaya Kaplya is my favorite yellow tomato. It is one I plan to grow every year in our garden. On the January, 1 - DFW area newscasts reported on the yearly rainfall for local cities. Cleburne, Texas is our closest city (10 miles) and it reported 73 inches of rain for the year of 2015. Medovaya Kaplya grew and produced just fine through all that rain.

Robert I was dying to try the Fedco Honeydrop last year but they ran out. I'm excited to see how the two compare for you. Sounds like both are super sweet.

Luigiwu, if they are still out - I could send you 5 seeds. They have the Fedco label in the pack with the seeds.
