Great to hear!
Winter returned last night . I do have lots of tomato babies though so I know it has to end at some point, right?

Hi All, I have a few tomato seeds orders and wanted to post what I put on the web site and FaceBook here:
I've been slow with orders as some of you know I was sick earlier this month and of course that got behind with orders and planting, but my grandmother has also been sick the past week and she passed away today. She went peacefully while I was there.
So I will unfortunately still be behind on things. Thank you all for your understanding,
Remy

Remy, I'm sorry about your grandmother.

My order can wait since it will be for 2015 sowing.

My condolences.

Remy,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your grandmother. You've spoken of her a few times - always with such love. May her love for you sustain and comfort you in her absence. And may all your shared memories bring smiles, warmth and sense of peace.
Hugs to all the family,

Remy, I'm so sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing/

I cherished both of my grandmothers since often they would let me do what my mother wouldn't let me do, and so much more. Stories of the past, interesting relatives, and both were great cooks. And neither of them spoke ill of others.

Memories are forever.

Thanks, Carolyn. She was very special to me as I was her first grandchild and only granddaughter. Plus my mother died so long ago and my mother was her only daughter so I was more like a daughter in some ways.
Stories from her were great, and of course she loved to cook, and garden too!
She wrote her own obituary and she had those listed with crafts as things she enjoyed.

Remy, I too am sorry to hear this sad news. I am glad you could be with her. Did your "Sample Seed Shop" name partially come from her having worked in the Sample Shop of that company? A nice little connection if so.

The Sample Seed Shop name is partially from there as it gave me a good connotation about the name. The Sample was a great local store chain that sold good quality women's clothes like oh a Lord and Taylor. I loved shopping there. My first credit card was for there, .
The name idea though actually came from my husband after his grandfather passed. His grandfather owned Sample Dry Cleaning in Buffalo. So he said you should name it it The Sample Seed Shop, and I loved it.

I just read your grandmothers obit that she wrote and was going to ask the same question about the Sample name.

Running late here this AM since Freda was here trying to get my few tomato plants in the containers, complaining about the large peat pots that Rob used to raise them in,well, you know how that goes.

Freda and I bump heads a lot but here it is the middle of June and plants just being set out and four were too small to set out so I told her to just put them in oneof my 8 inch permanest pans and set them on the table in the backroom, where I could water them and they get AM light.

I got diverted here but Remy, when I saw that your grandmother got marriedin 1940 and I was born in 1939, it put a different perspective on where I'm at today. And I really liked the custom obit notice with the pies at the top. I hadn't seen that before.

Maybe I should think ahead and have some tomatoes at the top of my obit to be.

Carolyn
