Go Scarlet Knights! Hunterdon county is one of the prettiest parts of the Garden State as well! Bonus! Marking my calendar!

So who went? And how was it? I had fully intended to be there myself, but just couldn't take the time off work to go. I hope it was fun!

I went!!!
It was delicious!! around 85 different varieties of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes to taste along with apple and peach types to try as well. They also offered tractor rides around the farm to show what they are doing in regards to tomato, apple and peach growing. They have a tomato growing area that has nothing but original Rutgers Tomatoes growing from seeds from the 1950's they have obtained from their seed vault. The call their project "The Jersey Tomato ". I purchased a Rutgers Jersey Tomato t-shirt which is really cool!! Attached is a photo of me taken at the entrance to the event. Overall it was a fantastic experience. ![]() Julia

Thanks for the review, Julia !!
We had some personal stuff arise and were prevented from attending. Sounds like it was a good one......and am so happy to see that the weather looks good (as you do) in the picture. Heirlooms rock ! |
