Abbattista paste was one of my top 5 pastes so far. Seeds from Terry at Secret Seed Cartel in 2015. Big plant, lots of fruits, fairly easy to deseed...looked and performed just as she describes on her website. Later tried Heidi and Santa Maria and liked them better.

I've grown Kotlas, Cueno Giant Pear and Violaceum Altaisky.

I wouldn't grow Kotlas or the Pear one again, just nothing special for me but I had forgotten that I'd also grown the Violaceum one until I checked Tania's database and here it is.

So what I didn't laughed about was the fact that yes,I'd grown it,nope,the fact that I and others had not spelling it correctly according to Tania.

Lindalana, with your list above, which included several different shapes and colors and possible different usages, what was most important to you?

Was it paste varieties, or large beefsteaks of different colors,I'm just trying to get a handle on why you chose those varieties.

Or was it just general interest?

My full list below/ with exception few old tried and true additions and cherries/, varieties I am asking the ones I had most difficulty finding info. I like to cross correlate reviews with Tania site, this forum, Russian Tomat pomidor forum for people experience and see whether I get consistency of reviews.

My needs are varied, I do a lot of canning, juicing, drying etc so am looking for winners as in productivity, taste, reliability. Chicago summers could be iffy, one year total heat and next rain and drab so growing lots of varieties is a must for me. It is getting harder and harder to try new ones as I am finding plenty of past year winners I want to grow again.
