Hello
Hello CHOPTAGGERS,
JerryL dropped me a hello in the general discussion forum..(thanks Jerry). I have not read when the 2007 plant swap will be. I would be more than glad to join the club. Is there anything special I need to do to sign up? Can't wait to meet some new materheads..You all sound like a lot fun, and thanks again Jerry for the invitation. Thomas |

Thomas,
Glad you saw my post over in the General Discussion forum. Be sure to read the thread titled “The History of CHOPTAG”. I think is says it all about who can join (everyone), membership requirements (none), dues (again none) and several other points of non-interest. As for the plant swap, we haven’t set a date yet. We usually do that during our winter seed swap meeting but we’re having a little trouble putting that together this year. I can say that it will be on one of the following dates. May 5, 6, 12, or 13. Watch this forum and you’ll know as soon as we know. Thanks for your interest in CHOPTAG and welcome to the club.

Sorry to hear that the seed swap didn't go well. I will paste from my general discussion post what I have to trade from my list. Do you have a pick a name type swap? If any choptaggers want a starter I will bring them one from my list in May.
Tomatoes, Black Prince, Green Zebra, Kellogs Breakfast, Caspian Pink, Amish Paste, Cherokee Purple, Lillians Lemon, Amish Salad, White Wonder, Rutgers, Brandywine, Tigerella, Sweet Baby Girl, Purple Russian, Ananas Noire, Giant Belgium, Beefsteak, Mortgage Lifter, Orange Banana, Black Krim, Black Cherry, Snow White, Persimmon, Delicious, Hillbilly, Tiny Tiger, Bull's Heart, Porterhouse Isis Candy, Green Grape, (not in any order, just fumbling through seed packs.) I added a couple I forgot about and took out a couple that I have few seeds of. Others, Black Zuke, Straightneck Yellow, Golden Zuke, Muncher Cuke, National Pickling Cuke, Straight 8 Cuke, Miniature Yellow & Red Bell, Golden Marconi, Jalapeno, Blue Lake Bush, Striker G.B., Kentucky Wonder Pole Assortment of companion herbs and flowers. Or if anyone wants to snail mail a seed trade let me know! |

I hesitate to state a date right now for the Taste Fest. We don’t have the reservation set at the park yet.
We are trying for Sunday August the 18th. But like I said the park is not reserved yet so things might change. I’ll post a firm date as soon as I know it. All things good come to those who wait.
