Maybe Pomona has been too busy to post? I have a pepper from her too. Not in the car, but in the kitchen, just waiting for the right moment to be eaten... They were beautiful. It was scary how Pomona just KNEW that I would love to try her lens. She and Michael were very nice, and their daughter so cute.

Hi!

I have some pictures to post. I only started back on the forums recently. The daytrip on Saturday took a bit of a toll on us, but that was a tactical move. See, telling non-gardening husband that "it's only a day trip" makes the trip "do-able." We struggled driving back: a lot of stops and switching to drive. Buuut...he now says, "If you want to do this again next year, let's make a weekend of it."

It's now HIS idea!

Hey Pomona,
You guys have to come to Choptag next year too.
Either the plant swap in the spring or the tastefest in sept.
Glad you guys made it home okay.
Your little girl is adorable..

Pomona,
"a tactical move" !!! Well, I'm glad you made it home ok. I was starting to get worried since no one has heard from you. I'm glad Michael had such a good time that he now has the idea of a weekend visit for next time!
Can't wait to see the pics,
Remy

Hilde,

Glad you enjoyed shooting with the lens. We used to do weddings on the side so having fast zoom lenses were critical since some churches don't permit flash photography during ceremonies.

Anyway, any time the lenses can be handy, that's a good thing. I started a new position at work last year, and I'm still settling in! And now, my husband will be starting a new role at his company so our photography for the most part, is on hold.

I've been enjoying the photographs you took!

Terry,

I'd love to try to make CHOPTAG next year. Timing in general for these events is a little tricky for me since fall also means back to school, and I work for a university IT organization.

But I will definitely hope for it! Plant swap is a possibility too!

Remy,

We really enjoyed the GI area and we did visit the Falls and drove around a little before heading back. I'm sure that helped wear us down. Laugh. I think we stumbled home around 12:30am?

Now that everyone in Greater Tomatoville has had a chance to read and comment, thread moved to Buffalo-Niagara forum, so it will be easier to locate for future reference.

Congratulations on a successful event! Great pictures and reports.
