Default Does this exist???

I was asked today if I had ever heard of a certain green bean. I did not get a spelling, but phonetically it sounded like "Ted Lefyou". It is supposed to be confined to Eastern Tennessee.

Now, I have already considered some kind of prank on me, but I still need to ask.

Any help will be appreciated.

Default Le Fou

Ted, Le Fou in french translates as The Fool.

Might this be the information you need?

Someone is clearly quite misguided.

Ted in french it means Ted the crazy.
This can mean that you are crazy about tomatoes and gardening in general.
Ive seen enough Pink Panther movies to know what I'm talking about.

Worth, you are wise and truly "Worthy" to be a senior instructor at the Texas Owl Training Facility. WHOO!!!

Finally, there is a company with "Lefu" in the name that is a commercial supplier of seeds (by the hundreds of pounds only), including beans of all kinds. I believe that what I've come into is someone's ignorance and/or a desire to play a prank on yours truly.

I think I'm done with this now.
