Reporting forom Southwest NC.
Like Bill in AL., we had much warmer temp in the second half of Feb than first half of Mar.
Currently : 3/12 we have next 3 freezing nights in the forecast. From then on NO MORE freeze or frost for the next12 days. So I think that by historical weather data we should be out of the hole , since our LFD is around April 5.
I have plenty of fire wood to burn in the stove and wait it out.

It sounds like it's beautiful too Black Krim. Keep warm and safe.

In this part of Texas, tonight/morning there's a chance of frost (I'm glad the tomato plants are still inside.) If we got 20 inches of snow here, people would be having panic attacks. That amount of snow just doesn't happen here.

Tonight is the only night in 15 days forcast going down below freezing mark. But statistically it can happen up until early April. Last year, today, we had a severe freezing windy cold. No serious frost after that.I can live with that happily.
Wishing you a clement weather.

Still snowing out there as it has been since 2 days ago. My best weather sites suggest that it will stop around 8 PM tonight.

It was snowing and blowing every which way here for a few hours, but then turned to drizzle.. and tomorrow will rain on it again. Would've liked to shovel the snow part, but it's too late for that! So I guess we're in for a soggy mess for a few days...

At 11:30 p.m., 55, low is to be 44. Winds light at about 15 mph. Had the doors open and the house breezing out today. Nice enough to do a little chore or two with Belle helping me - if only she would learn to carry things!!- which made her quite happy to play with me outside.

Coming down outside. There's a wide patio railing where I put birdseed. A little Carolina wren was trying to dig through the snow to find seeds. Poor little thing was half-buried in snow. (Had to go out & fix that.)

71 is the high for today, and 85 later in the week. 54 right now The grass in the backyard, under the pecan trees ( dormant yet) is needing to be cut, lush and green. The redbuds are blooming all along their naked branches and the birds are busy.

Where are you, imp ?
Sounds like our climate. While maple, oak gum trees are leafing pecans are still dormant. That is how it is
Pecan , walnut are the last to leaf.
We had grass growing then a deep frost kill them all. Now its too cold for the grass to grow. Our night lows are in mid 30s to low 40s. And day highs near 60. With cold winds blowing ftom N , NW, WNW it feel too coldseems have to wait another 5 days before I can dare to plant out my tomatoes. They are getting hardened up now
