This looks exactly like mine when we were having rat problems. I got a live trap at Home Depot, spread it with peanut butter, and about 30 minutes after dark I had already caught a rat. We took it about 5 miles away, (don't tell anyone!)then reset the trap, and by morning there was another! It seems they forage in pairs, because every time we have caught one, within a day we catch another.
Usually there is no more trouble at least or a while after catching the pair.
Cost of the trap wasn't any more than like 20 bucks or so, and it can be used over and
over.
