Default Chiltoma Peppers

Any one growing this variety? I'm trying it this year for the first time and wondering what color it's suppose to be when ripe?

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, were you able to find out any more about this pepper?

Not much information out there about it, which is probably why you asked the question in the first place.

I noticed that Reimer's carries it, but they don't note ripe color either.

I see Chiltoma de Nicaragua in a SSE Yearbook. Is it the same? It says 1.5 X 3" wrinkled red fruit.

Thanks Reign, I think that is the same variety I'm growing. A Nicaraguan friend however said they should be green. I picked a few green and grilled them the other night and they were really tasty. Perhaps I'll let a few ripen to red.

Happy Gardening,

Joe
