Imp, wait until this weekend with lows in the mid 30s around the DFW area. I'd bet it'll be colder up where you are.

Yes, mid to low 60's for the highs Saturday and Sunday, but bounces right back up on Monday @75 then Tuesday @ 85.

Here in SW Missouri we hit 78 today and calling for the same tomorrow. Chance of severe storms on Friday and down to 27f this weekend. The weather rollercoaster continues. If all looks good,
I hope to plant my tomatoes the 25th.

I just looked at our 15 days forecast.
By a rough estimate it will average : lows 52f , highs 72F. There will be some lows in 40s an some highs in high 70s. But the trend is getting warmer.Before you know it , we will have summer. Down here springs are short

Today is supposed to get to 92. I guess we had our 2 weeks of spring this year.

My greenhouse dipped to 37 and 36 F the past two nights. My tomatoes will be 6 weeks from germination tomorrow, and if the weather agreed I would plant them asap they are big enough. The forecast is not in agreement though, with lots of subzero and no sun days. I need to get them out there at least to start hardening off, but I may have to be prepared to bring them back in if we get the cloudy snow days as forecast.... A glimmer of sun is all it takes to get up to 50 F, maybe a few glimmers to get into the 60's.

its official,

calumet reached 300 inches of snow for the winter. houghton county is at 285 inches. calumet due to being at higher terrain within the county always gets more snow.
yesterday was in the 40s, today we have a couple more inches of snow coming.
snow flurries with rain over the next few days. sunny days are shrinking the snow banks, but until it gets warmer it is a slow process.
the snowshoe hare that hangs out here going from bird feeder to sauna to under the chicken coop is still sporting a mostly white fur coat.
there is still a lot of snow on the ground here.

We had our first 60F of the season at my house yesterday, and probably another today. Then a couple days of cold rain, followed by some snow and more cold. Then clawing back to hopefully somewhat close to normal.

Checked the garlic yesterday, still nothing poking up yet. I haven't been growing garlic all that long--maybe 6 or 7 years but this is the latest and by a large margin--usually it is a couple inches tall by now. Last year we were planting out onions, broccoli, etc. starts on this date.

The weather map from CNN yesterday looked to me to have the characteristics of a classic panhandle hook. These storms typically involve cold air moving south on the east side of the Rockies, making a U-turn (hook) over the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma, then head north over the Mississippi River basin drawing up more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico on their northward trek.
