Still inconsistent size fruit but the shape is similar and all are showing the same solid interior with zero gel around the seeds. They are heavy for their size, very easy to peel and store ripe for a long time.
The plants are determinate, fairly fine regular leaf foliage. my F4 Sahara pastes are ripening. They are Definitely not for raw eating on their own although they hold their shape nicely for marinated dishes or in salsa without getting watery which can be useful. great to cook with mostly and mixed with other tomatoes less dense they thicken a sauce very well and provide a beautiful bright red colour. I think they are quite interesting and very unusual so I will continue on with them to F5. Trying to stabilize this larger size which is my selection preference. Sahara F4: original seed was from a hybrid grocery store paste. KarenO |

Wow! Solid interior and zero gel is for sure. They look like watermelon flesh inside. Too bad their raw taste isn't like raw watermelon.

They taste pretty good but they are not at all juicy enough for eating raw on their own.
There’s thousands of good slicers to eat raw though, this ones for cooking KarenO |
