Default New hottest pepper

I just found out that it's not ghost pepper anymore. It's Trinidad moruga scorpion. I've been groing ghost pepper for a few years now and pretty happy with it. But now I MUST grow the new pepper and really need info on reliable seed sources . If you know please post. Thanks

I have a few growing right now, I bought 10 seeds on Amazon for $5.00 and 8 of 10 germinated and there doing great!

Touted as "The hottest Pepper in the World" I cannot wait to get a few peppers harvested!

Here's where I got mine..

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o02_s00_i00

Here's a wealth of information on them!

Hope it helps!

Actually records are ment to be broken and there are peppers that are being grown that are reportedly hotter then the Moruga scorpion such as HP22B B3 strain from ed curry heres a link to a testing that made the well known chillie heads puke after eating a pod enjoy.

well, from what I understand a lot of new records set buy unsustainable strains, moruga scorpion looks like the real deal (though a lot of people argue that butch T is hotter) So I'll pobably grow both next year if I find reliable source of seeds. It took me a while to find bhut jolokia seeds that I'm confident about. Now I have my own seeds to grow.

Yep, I love spicy food but at this level of heat I can't see enjoying it. That being said, in college I used to make a spaghetti dish called "the sizzle" that all of my friend would request. It would make sweat pour off your forehead but you couldn't stop eating it because it tasted so good.

The Morouga has a pebbled surface, more irregular fruit form and more placental material.

No, butch T is just a particular strain of the scorpion, the TS morouga is a different pepper.
