Great lead! Anyone looking at those plants knows they are in fabulous shape.

They are beautiful plants. The landscaper was lucky to find them. Hopefully he will be interested in any others that you might still have growing and want to do business with you in the future.

Thanks, everyone, for the encouragement. I had noticed other local greenhouses sitting empty and wondered if I was doing something foolish by trying to keep growing plants into the summer. It is possible, just more challenging. But if I am the only one doing it, then the plants should be easy to sell.

I guess it's time to order some mum plugs. I have never tried growing them before. We shall see how it goes.

Ornamental Cabbage might work for you too for a late season item.

Thanks. Johnny's has some unique ornamental kale, too.

A few greenhouse pics. Market is tomorrow, so hopefully I will be saying goodbye to most of these plants soon.

What an unexpected sunflower color. Is it pink?

Thanks. And yes, I believe the pink one is Double Dandy.

Here are pics of the table this morning. My landscaping customer came back and bought all my zinnias and marigolds again. He was looking for me. This time he had me give him my phone number.

awesome. i don't know how old you are, but you should open up your own nursery. You would run everyone out of business.

Cole, I believe you're growing the flowers from seed as well? There is a market at the moment for ornamentals that are grown without neonics - systemic pesticide widely used in the industry which has been found harmful to bees. The big box stores that decided to respond to the issue are 'phasing out' neonics - Home Depot for example is supposed to have them phased out by 2018 iirc. That kind of leaves some people in a limbo, not sure if it's safe to buy flowers here there or anywhere. My mom, for example, is in process of re-landscaping the front of her house, and would have picked up a bunch of stuff including annuals to pop in for a temporary cover, but for the neonics issue. If growing from plugs it is iffy because many suppliers still use the systemics and so they're already full of it when you get them. But if yours are from seed and untreated, you should definitely bill as 'neonics free' or 'pesticide free'. There may be more people interested than you think.

Thanks, both of you. And Bower, that is a good point about being bee-friendly. I actually have a honey bee hive just outside the greenhouse, and I see bees on my flowers quite often.

What a good day for you! How did the sunflowers sell?

Glad the landscaper came back, maybe you can do a big order for him, or three. And, you get the extra of feeding your bees, too.

If I was a bee, I'd be on your flowers Cole! They really are gorgeous.
