Jewul Cold Frame
Skip this if you are the least bit handy. I am all about kits!
Burpee now carries 2 styles of Jewul cold frame. I bought the smaller model last week and this is head over heals better than the wobbly Palram Grow Station I suffered with the last 4 years. Its a low to the ground box with Polycarbonate panels, which is a huge improvement over whatever flimsy plexiglass Palram uses in that $200 piece of junk. I have the coldframe sitting on the lawn and the inside temp climbs rapily from 45 to mid 50's. I used styro packing material for flooring, but I should put down black plastic to help the ground absorb heat. Highly recommend to those not in a position to build a traditional unit. - Lisa Last edited by greenthumbomaha; March 20, 2016 at 08:40 PM. Reason: I butchered the name. The Correct spelling of the manufacturer is JUWEL, sorry for the typo! |
