Thanks for the inquiries, the overnight didn't go to freezing, so I am very hopeful that they'll make it, but I bet there will be some leaf and blossom damage. This was the coldest night we have had in over 4 years! I was up at 5 and watering before daylight to warm the roots. I used tap water, which comes out of the pipes at 63 degrees. Got everything watered, then went inside for a very welcome hot cuppa! This cold snap isn't supposed to last long, it will go to 72 today with bright dun, and the overnight low will be in the 50s, which is fine.
Newest thing, something is devouring my ripening fruits, so my husband set an infrared camera out. It's a rat! Time to put out the have a heart with peanut butter in it! Everyone, please stay warm and safe. |
