Default What kind of tomato is this?

I did not know that I had planted an apricot colored tomato, but here it is:

What is it? Someone probably switched labels.
I hope you can see my picture.

Yes, I see your picture but I see it as a gold or orange color, not apricot.

What varieties are you growing and perhaps we can match it up with something you are growing.

I bought the plant from a nursery. I am now remembering that it was from South America, and called Sojourner, or something similar. But I looked that one up and it is a red tomato.

If it isn't too much trouble, I suggest taking the fruit back to the nursery where you bought it. That would be your best bet to identify the tomato. Failing that, consider it a no name unknown. Claud

My guess is not a swithed label, but impure seed.

My seed of Sojourner South America (many years ago from Chuck Wyatt) was not pure. One plant produced tomatoes of that color. This one plant had beefsteaks, tapered hearts, and nippled/blocky plums for fruit shapes. Some subsequent grow-outs had the same color, along with some plants having pink fruit. The original plant and later plants of gold/orange fruit were always bland in taste. The pink colored fruit were very good tasting.
It may be worth a try to save seed and hope for pink fruit, next year.

Thanks for the info. I will save a few seed and try it.
