Just avoided disaster
Yesterday, I decdied to put 3/4 of my newly transplanted seedlings outside for the little light and warmth.
They were happy, as of last night, so I moved them to a slightly wind protected area and went to bed. At 6 am, my shop lights for the other seedlings came on and my alarm went off. I turned off the alarm, rolled over, and stuck a pillow on my head for a few more minutes of rest. Just then I heard thunder and pelting rain. In about 2.1 seconds I thought, oh good we need some rain, it will be good for the.... OH CRUD! I leaped out of bed and ran (literally) downstairs and outside to bring seedlings back inside. I closed the door. Just then 1/4" hail started to come down..... Good timing for once! Lee |

Don't ya just love it when that fatherly instinct comes out?
Ever have trouble sleeping 'cause your seedlings might need something in the middle of the night? Babies.....sheesh!

We got the same storm - bright lightning at 530, torrential downpour from 545 - 6 - but thankfully no hail. Then again, as I sit in my office, the sky is black and there is an even bigger thunderstorm happening - and it is heading toward where I live. Can I dodge another bullet?
