I love the buildings with painted decorations -- it always looks so festive and happy. And it's interesting to see in pictures 4 and 5 that the language of coffee is universal: latte, cappuccino, espresso -- fancy coffee drinks are everywhere now!

My grandparents came from Slovakia; I inherited some beautiful linens and shawls with that same kind of flower patterns on them.

Thanks for sharing your pictures, it looks like a fun day for you!

The village names Mutěnice and Slovakia is only twelve kilometres from its. I like slovak mountains and I and my wife went there each year. Were you in Slovakia sometimes ? And some pictures from slovak mountains.

It looks beautiful there! Unfortunately, I've never been able to travel to Slovakia . My grandparents emigrated to the US in the early 1900s. They were originally from Bratislava. They lost touch with the last cousins they had left in Slovakia after World War II. Thank you for sharing your pictures!

It is raining three days. I can not go to the garden, wherefore I went by tram to the city. I looked up (first time in my life) Museum of J.G.Mendel, one of the founder genetics. It was very important. I went photograph by my Nokia mobile, but the photos in museum do not happened (the worse). Two photos out of museum only and two refers to web sites.

I love play-bills of Alfons Mucha too. I have some replicas of his play-bills, but originals exhibited on that presentation (high 2,5 m), it is something another. Alfons Mucha created more of his play-bills in Paris and in USA in 1897- 1910. He was born in the town Ivančice near of Brno (1860), after 1910 year he lived in Bohemia until 1939 y.

I lived in Cheb a couple years near the spa towns of Karlovy Vary, Frantiskovy Lazne, and Marianske Lazne. Both the Czech Republic and Slovakia are beautiful countries with lovely customs and lovely people.

I was in Cheb sometimes. I and my wife are the fans of history and we go around all Bohemia and Moravia and we visit towers, chateaus and museums. We was in Sokolov in 2008 y. and we visited in Cheb castle and museum of Valdštejn. We too was in the castles Seeberg and Loket and in the chateau Kynžvart. This we liked. I am glad that you remember on Czech republik in good. I must admit, that I know from Kentucky only Kentucky derby. I know too, that I shall visit USA never.
A nice day Vladimír
PS.: About six month I battle with English language. I hope, that the others understand me least a little.
