Yep, one of my dogs would eat it straight from the bag if given the opportunity. I have to place foil over the soil for the containers indoors on the floor in the Spring or else he eats the potting mix. And when I'm working in the garage potting up, I have to remember to set the bag of fertilizer out of reach when I'm finished. I cannot afford to feed that dog Tomato Tone! (The other dog is not such an adventurous eater and she doesn't seem the least bit interested in it.)

I was still waiting yesterday, and finally shot them an email asking what was up. This is the reply. There are 3 items in my order.

" Dear Jane,
Due to an issue with the manufacturer the item will not be available for shipment until 05/01/12.

We apologize for any inconvenience"

No mention of WHICH item. No notice of this until I asked. I'd say they need to pay some attention to customer service, as well as their web site.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Update:

" Dear Jane,
The Tomato - Tone 20 Pounds is on a back order."

OMG, are they kidding me!!!!!

They probably did not anticipate the demand from our tomatoville!

So, my order from 3/10 will not be filled until sometime in May.

Seems not all of us are lucky with Ozbo.

My advice--don't order more than one thing from them. They'll hold it up, but not tell you.

Default good news bad news

I also wrote to see what happened with my order, placed more than a week ago. Those of you who ordered right away lucked out, if you got your orders. When I saw that Tomato Tone (20 lbs) was out of stock I felt lucky that they had accepted my order for it, but now there is a delay till early May. The rest of the order should arrive early April. They are probably overwhelmed by all of us. So much for saving gas, time and energy by shopping from home.

yeah I think I'm going to get hosed too since they put a hold on my order due to an improper listing on the website, and never bothered to actually try and contact me about it.

I placed my order on 3/8 and received yesterday. However, only one 5 pound bag of lime, sent an e-mail so we'll wait and see. Two bags of tomato tone and two of the heated starter greenhouses for gifts $20.00 each! Glad that I got in early. Joan

I got my TomatoTone and greensand yesterday, but rock phosphate (an afterthought) still hasn't been shipped.

I'm glad I got the TT, but I really wanted to work in the phosphate well before planting time... If it doesn't show shipped today I'll still end up buying it locally so I can get it in when I wanted.

hah, apparently the online chat rep doesn't appreciate it when you call them on their claims. Oh well, I'm about to call her on another one.

also looked around the 'net to see what the general consensus was on ozbo, and it seems like on average they're decent, but when they screw up, they really screw up.

I'm not liking my odds right now

..aaaand canceled. f em', they're a bunch of liars.

it's funny, most of the peeps here were happy and got outstanding deals, but there are probably a few here that will never order from them again. The cutoff between them was probably just a day or two until they ran out stock.

They stopped my order from processing and never bothered to tell me there was a problem. I put my order in on the 8th , and it would have sat in "sent to warehouse" status for a decade if I didn't contact them to find out what the deal was.

The bottom line is poor communication and service is the big turnoff, not the availability of a suddenly in hot demand product.

Just to close the loop, I did get my Tomato Tone last week, the same day that I got an email saying it was ready to be shipped out, so no complaints here.
