Tom, great pictures! I love foxglove, but they really don't like extreme heat. Sometimes I grow them as spring annuals here.

I didn't know they are deer proof !
They are 1 of Suz fav. flowers ... her other is "Bleeding Heart" ... but the smaller fern-like foliage one ~ Tom

Some Foxgloves (digitalis) are or seem to be perennial. I am in zone 5 with some planted in an exposed north facing garden bed. The same clump keeps growing and growing larger annually, without completely dying off over the winter. Yes they will self-sow, if you let them. And that will add to the expansion.
