I've wanted to try Burpee's "Patio Princess" in an Earthbox for several years, but refused to pay $6 for a packet of tomato seeds. But this year, they showed up at Menards in the Burpee display. Ended up paying just $1.70.
I'm expecting to find something about like regular Patio Hybrid which I've always found to be a good, but not great tomato. But a benefit of these dwarf plants for me is that I can start them quite early without them outgrowing my cold frame. I typically start something like this about March 1st and set it outside about the first week of May (zone 5b). Anyone here grown PP before? -GG Last edited by Greatgardens; January 16, 2014 at 06:03 PM. |
