We are getting our first ripe Benevento now.

Anyone else getting ripe Benevento yet? Yellow and red on the surface, but very pink inside.

Most people were late planting because the seed distribution was delayed. Glad you have them in though, Charley!

This shows Benevento ripening. Actually all 3 fruits are ripe. Already pink and sweet when green stripes have not yet converted to yellow. Even the fruit on the right has a few days left at room temperature.

My Beneventos are starting to ripen, I think I have picked three of them, but have not had a chance to taste or weigh them. I am backed up with a dining table full of boxes of ripening tomatoes, not that I'm complaining!

Hi Fred, Here is one of my Benevento's as grown here in SE Iowa. Good holding on the vine and good shelf life after picking. You have a winner here.

Default Here's my Benevento

I haven't tasted it yet so no conclusion as to whether I will grow again or not.

I think it’s excellent.
Beautiful colour. Firm, great flavour and to me because the exterior almost looks orange because of the yellow stripes the watermelon pink interior seems almost surprising.
Great work. Plants are good. Bit of early blight nothing else at this point in mid august. They certainly seem to like the hot dry summer we’ve had.

Last week we tried a few different kinds of tomatoes for supper when I had a couple of guests, and we agreed that of those we ate that evening, Benevento was the tastiest, sweet flavor, nice texture.

In northern Minnesota! That's good news.

Benevento is back on our website.

Price lowered from $6.95 to $4.95 because I really people to try it.

Note that packing and shipping will take a little bit more time -- orders to start going out by September 30. Maybe sooner, but no guarantee.

I am glad that this is how they did for you!

Benevento update:

After reviewing our Benevento seed situation for the year, we have increased our website price back up to $6.95 on our website.

But, we have a kickstarter campaign running until Dec 1, and the prices are reduced there.
