Anne,
I like your suggestions...even if you're not disabled. But I like the use of the burner being on a cart on wheels. Makes a lot of sense to me. There are days I can lift with no problem, but can't necessarily walk anywhere carrying the extra weight, without one or both knees giving way. Oh joys! - NOT! Trust me, with boiling hot water, not a good idea. Always on the look out for ways to make it easier to continue to do the things I've always done.

This looks like some good Stuff! I do miss being able to pick up Quality South American Products!! In Burlington NC we had a very strong population. I loved one store in particular, They had the best Baked goods in town, Beale.

The bottom...hmm, maybe he has problems with moles.

Those boxes look to be made for Square Foot Gardening. That method calls for bottoms to keep the SFG soil mix pure (with drain holes drilled in the bottom). Those boxes will last a long, long time if he treats them properly. They look excellent.

Here are some pickled peppers and a jar of dried Arnold peppers in salt and oil.
I did this yesterday.
