Everyone's picture look great. Mine always seem to be late to develop before I plant, but I usually have good plants once they get into the ground. I guess that is the main thing, how they preform during the growing season. I agree that it would be easier to buy your plants, but i enjoy raising them from seeds and it also gets me out of the house. I love to experiment with different varieties each year. This year i cut back to about 50 different varieties. I do the dense seeding method and i have about 350 seedlings. I usually plant about 200 plants in a large field and about 25 in some raised beds i have around the house. I also supply my sons and friends with plant. I try to promote raising heirloom tomatoes around my area.

First time posting a photo so I hope it works. These are mine, I planted then on 2/19 so they are three weeks old today. I miscalculated so I planted them a bit early and will probably have to up-pot them out of their solo cups before I plant them outside. First time growing indoors under a grow light - they started off a little lanky but I think they are ok now.

When do you intend to plant out ?
I was going to get stsrted with hardening off today but it was too windy. Tomorrow I will bring them out.

Thank you. I've had some fairly cold weather. The Sol Guld (aka Sol Gold) has proven to be the best grower in the cold temperatures. My family had good luck with them in their high tunnel last year. It is the first early yellow tomato I have tried that is actually sweet.

I am not going to do a high tunnel of tomatoes this year, so the plants I plant outside, I have not yet started the seeds. I usually plant out in May, but the weather is often all over the place that month, so the exact date varies a lot.

They look good.
What you will have a problem with soon is not from the container but being over crowded.
This will make them lanky like an over grown forest or what I call a dog hair thicket.
Even outside in the sun they will do it if crammed together.

Here are a few tomatoes just about two weeks old... I usually give them 3 weeks in cell pack iirc, but this time decided to go it at the two week mark. I potted them all up last night but have yet to decide exactly where to shuffle them all to, to give them as close to equal treatment as possible. Their solo cups will be cheek by jowl for a couple of weeks for sure, before there's any chance to spread em out. Intended transplant date around April 15th @ 6 weeks.

Got my Peppers and eggplants potted up this weekend, I love these cups for multiple reasons but one reason is that I can pot up by color for quick reference.

I can get 18 of the larger 20 oz cups and 21 of the smaller 16 oz cups on a tray.

Here are my Hardin's Miniatures. They are 10"/25 cm tall. There is a flower near the top.

Here are my baby peppers, "Doe Hill Yellow" sweet cheese peppers. The pot is 2"/5cm tall so they're very small.

When did you start your Hardin's Miniature? That's awesome you already have flowers though!

I know you grow indoors with that light setup.
